Assistive Technology Equipment Loans and Demonstrations

Informed purchases are better purchases.  AT Act Programs throughout the country are providing demonstrations and loans of assistive technology devices to AT users, professionals, educators and anyone else who might have to make a purchasing decision.  Please contact the AT Act Program in your state or territory for opportunities to try out before you buy. Assistive Technology Reuse

Technology may age and sometimes may be "outdated", but it doesn't necessarily loose its usefulness.  Quality used equipment is be a valuable resource and AT Act Programs are facilitating the re-utilization of equipment through webbased exchanges, through refurbishment of equipment and other recycling efforts.  To learn more about Assistive Technology Reuse in your state or territory contact your AT Act Program. Financing Assistive Technology

Some assistive technology equipment carries a hefty price tag  and you may appreciate some financial assistance, access to a low interest loan or some other way to make the AT you need more affordable.  Many states offer alternative financing options.  Please check if your state or territory is operating a stand alone service or otherwise contact your AT Act program for more information. Legal Assistance

All states and territories are funded to provide assistance with At needs in schools, in employment or in the community.  If you need AT and are not receiving it in a setting in which you should (school, vocational rehabilitation, etc), please contact your state or territory PAAT program.  These are often referred to as disability rights or law centers. Click here for services in your state.
